On World Drowning Prevention Day, Peace by Youth (PY) urges families, communities and institutions to take practical measures that save lives. Prevention begins with: 🌊 Supervising children near water 🚧 Installing barriers around wells, ponds and pools 🦺 Using appropriate life jackets during water travel 🏊 Teaching swimming and basic water-safety skills 🚑 Learning safe rescue and first-aid techniques 📢 Sharing early warnings during floods and heavy rains Never enter dangerous water to rescue someone without training or proper equipment.
