Peace by Youth (PY) is registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance 1961, and is a non-profit, public benefit entity, operating with the mission of PEACE – Participation, Empowerment and Association of Change Enablers.

2011

PY established with a dedication to support young people of district Jacobabad by enhancing their capacity to live a better life.

PY supported the local community of Jacobabad during Heavy Rains 2012 and provided food, shelter and camp coordination and camp management services with support of district government and international organizations.

2013

PY enhanced its capacity development through different national and international organizations, defined its Standard Policies and procedures. PY become first elected secretariat for District Coordination Council – DCC. PY initiated self-funded programs like Legal Law and Advocacy Aid – L2A2, PY Volunteer Network – PYVN

Submitted its first project proposal with a title “Awareness of Women and her Advocacy with Zeal – AWAZ” to Small Grants and Ambassadors Fund – SGAFP and got shortlisted for further process.

2014

2015

Shifted its office location from single room building to a well-established office, and finally granted with an International NGO fund of SGAFP and started AWAZ project under Women Issues theme in District and Session Courts of Jacobabad.

Successfully completed one-year AWAZ project. Started vocational services (Youth Vision Information Technology & Vocational Institute – YVITVI) for youth with support of local, national and international organizations.

2017

PY revitalized its mission and vision, limits its area of services to 1. Advocacy and Awareness, 2. Youth Development, 3. Peace, Justice and Equality, and 4. Gender & Development

2019

Currently, PY starts working with CPDI under CBNA network in district Jacobabad, and working to strengthen its capacity to work for peace and youth development in the region.
