PY’s collaboration with VENRO

Peace by Youth (PY) is excited to announce our collaboration with VENRO (Verband Entwicklungspolitik und Humanitäre Hilfe deutscher Nichtregierungsorganisationen e.V.), a prestigious German organization dedicated to development policy and humanitarian aid. Together, we are embarking on an influential project titled “Strengthening the capacities for innovation and future-oriented reforms among German humanitarian NGOs and their local partners”.

Project Overview

This project aims to enhance the skills and capabilities of trainers in two key areas:

  1. Locally Led Humanitarian Action and Grand Bargain
    • We will conduct an intensive training session for trainers in April, focusing on the principles and practices of locally led humanitarian efforts.
    • The session spans over two days, encompassing comprehensive training modules and interactive discussions.
    • Participants will receive detailed documentation, summarizing key insights from the training.
  2. Equitable Partnerships between INGOs and Local/National NGOs
    • A 2.5-day training session is planned, concentrating on fostering collaboration and partnership between international and local/national NGOs.
    • This training will also be held in April, featuring in-depth modules and practical scenarios.
    • Similar to the first session, participants will receive a summary document for future reference.

Our Role and Commitment

As the contractor for this project, PY, is responsible for:

  • Preparing and moderating the training sessions.
  • Developing and providing comprehensive training documentation.
  • Ensuring the training aligns with the innovative and forward-thinking goals of the project.

Collaboration and Feedback

We are working closely with VENRO, to ensure the training is well-aligned with the project’s objectives. Regular feedback and collaborative planning are integral parts of this process.

Project Duration and Details

This project is set to conclude by 30th June 2024. We are committed to delivering exceptional training sessions that will significantly contribute to the humanitarian efforts of German NGOs and their local partners.
