About this course

A hands-on vocational program preparing learners to install, test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain domestic electrical wiring and household appliances, while developing workplace safety, employability and entrepreneurship skills.

Learning outcomes

Apply electrical and workplace safety procedures. Use and maintain electrical tools and test instruments. Interpret electrical drawings and wiring layouts. Install and troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase circuits. Repair and maintain domestic electrical appliances. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and quality checks. Diagnose electrical and appliance faults. Communicate effectively and work professionally in teams. Search for employment and plan a small electrical services enterprise.

Who this is for

Unemployed youth and entry-level learners seeking employment or self-employment in electrical installation and domestic appliance maintenance.

Eligibility

Middle-level education, as stated in the official NAVTTC syllabus. Final equivalence and documentary evidence must be confirmed by admissions staff.

Prerequisites

Interest in electrical and mechanical work; ability to participate safely in supervised classroom and laboratory practical activities.
