About this course

A competency-based manual jewellery-design qualification covering workplace safety, freehand drawing, shading, perspective and technical drawing, colour theory, theme research, manual design development, prototype creation, professional portfolios, soft skills and industry observation.

Learning outcomes

Apply workplace safety, housekeeping and PPE requirements. Create freehand sketches, tones, shading and repeat patterns. Produce perspective, isometric, explosion and orthographic jewellery drawings. Apply colour wheels, tones, shades and professional colour schemes. Research, render and develop theme-based jewellery designs. Build metallic, non-metallic and mixed-media prototypes. Compile and present a professional jewellery-design portfolio. Apply workplace communication, entrepreneurship and industry awareness.
