Protection Policy

The Protection Policy of Peace by Youth (PY) provides a comprehensive institutional framework to safeguard the rights, dignity, and well-being of all individuals who engage with the organization, particularly vulnerable groups such as women, children, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons with disabilities (PWDs), and marginalized communities. It defines PY's commitment to preventing harm, exploitation, neglect, and abuse while ensuring that protection principles are fully integrated across all programs and operations. The policy establishes mechanisms for reporting, case management, capacity building, and coordination with partners and government bodies. It aligns with international standards, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), and UNHCR protection guidelines, emphasizing accountability, confidentiality, and survivor-centered approaches. By embedding protection as a cross-cutting principle, PY ensures that all interventions contribute to a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for affected populations and stakeholders.
