Peace by Youth (PY) has an Advisory Council comprising individuals with unique expertise that complements the skills of the formal Board members. This council plays a critical role in enhancing the organization’s governance through their knowledge and skills. The council includes respected community leaders, professionals with specialized skills, and former Board members. While they don’t have governing authority, the Advisory Council provides valuable recommendations and insights to the Board of Directors, similar to committees within the Board. Their contributions are vital in shaping strategic decisions and organizational direction.
